“Stars for Ivy? Ridiculous. They should be given a galaxy! The kitchen brigade commanded by the insanely creative François Geurds has come together beautifully. And what a fantastic and surprising range of creations can be found on this completely revamped menu.” The restaurant is “beautifully designed”. The “warm colours and the illusion of log fires in the wall” makes it “cosy and charming”. The serving staff are “friendly, attentive and professional” and “not stuffy in the slightest”. Despite all of these compliments however, it’s François Geurds’ creations that take centre stage in this culinary story. For example, the pigeon with foie gras and cherry sorbet is “absolutely heavenly”. And the cream horn with piccalilli ice cream is “absolutely fantastic”. “Sensational flavours for which the aspect of tasting new things is more important than the food itself.” “An crazily wonderful culinary roller coaster.”
